RIP to the great Jean Giraud, AKA Moebius, comic-book artist extraordinaire and writer of the legendary Airtight Garage.
Back in 1970, on a trip to France, Jimi Hendrix commissioned one of the world’s most visionary sci-fi artists (MOEBIUS) to capture his essence in a piece of art. The image, of Jimi spooning soup into his mouth, was part of a series of photographs taken expressly for Moebius to use as templates to draw upon.
